![]() Why all the separate databases? Sometimes it's best to keep certain data separated so it can be managed and referenced more easily. Linked to the Movies database and also within the Media section are databases for Movie Media, Movie Scenes, Movie Stills and Movie Quotes. Here I have a Movies database that holds information about specific movie releases. My Media section is space for all the media I interact with. Within the sidebar I have three sections that feed my Movie data: Media, Library and Tracking. My Notion content is quite large so utilizing the sidebar means quick access to jump around my entire account. I still have a central dashboard page that serves a different purpose. I make use of the sidebar and keep the major areas of my life/content sectioned here. Notion is useful to me as a knowledge manager and is a productivity tool to me in the sense that it keeps my knowledge and resources organized so I can use other tools like a calendar and Todoist to manage my day-to-day more efficiently and effectively. I'm in my 30s and have a variety of hobbies that I enjoy tracking in Notion including book reading, online course notes, mental health practice and starting my own business. I have the iOS app on my iPhone SE but only to access information. I've tried the Windows app and it was too buggy for me. I'm a desktop user that mostly uses Notion within Chrome and Firefox. I've been subscribed to the Personal Pro plan since December 2018. My Notion is always being updated and improved. Feel free to ask questions or offer suggestions. However, I'll explain my set-up in enough detail to make your own. I'm offering the Movies section of my Notion as inspiration and not as a template.
